Creation Myth

The Creation Myth In the days of old, legends tell of seven goddesses. There names were Solnia, Lunia, Gennia, Dilia, Forsin, Valos, and Enderia. Each of them grew tired of the elemental chaos and barren astral sea that surrounded them, and sought to create something from the chaos. Solnia created the Sun, which she left to her son Lendinor to care for. Lunia created the sky, with its stars. She left her daughters, Azura Selena and Enerva to watch the sky. Gennia created land, rock and stone, and left her children Theon and Orrin to watch it. Dilia created the weather,, allowing Althoron domain of it. Forsin created the waves, and left Demacus her son in charge. Valos created the essence of magic, letting her sons Kyran and Palamarn to watch over it. Lastly, it was Enderia’s turn. Enderia had no children, so she used all of her energy to create life. Plants and animals, as well as all races, sprung from this well source. Enderia expended her own life to do this, much to her sisters’ amazement. In her honor, they fashioned a goddess from her last spark of energy to watch over her creation. Her name was Crystalia, the rebirth of Enderia. Each of the remaining sisters retreated to the sky to form the planets beyond, repeating the process of creation. However, without Enderia’s sacrifice, none would bare life. Crystalia named this world after her mother, and commanded the gods not to directly interfere with her mother’s work. These gods, as well as their offspring, swore this. Thus, the world was born. However, other forces saw what Enderia and her sisters had done, and converted their creation. These were the primordials, powerful creatures which valued chaos and destruction. They fashioned there own servants; powerful monsters like titans and elementals, and began a war in the heavens to destroy the newly formed land. The war lasted for centuries, as Crystalia and the other deities (along with many of their mortal creations) faced the primordials and their spawn. However, in the end the deities were victorious. They fashioned dominions in the Astral Sea, and watched their creations grow. Since then, many empires have risen and fell. The ancient empire of the giants; Dalion’s empire of tieflings, the majestic empire of Jendia, and the last great empire Terrilia. Each has fallen to ruin, but the world endures.
